To renew their licenses, licensees must complete 14 hours of continuing education, including the required topics outlined in the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission special notice. Out of the 14 required continuing education credits, licensees must complete two hours in fair housing and three hours in agency relationships.

All coursework must be completed between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2026.

First-time License Renewal

Real estate licensees renewing for the first time must complete a specific set of continuing education modules through an approved education provider. These include two seven-hour courses: the General Module and then, depending on their practice, the Residential Module or the Commercial Module. The Greater Lehigh Valley Real Estate Academy offers the General Module and the Residential Module. Available dates and times can be found on the Academy’s course calendar. The Commercial Module is available online through the Academy’s partnership with The CE Shop.

NAR Code of Ethics / Fair Housing Training

REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a member, and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. Qualified training must be of not less than 2 hours of instructional time. This requirement began January 1, 2025 with a deadline of December 31, 2027.

NAR offers a Code of Ethics course online for free without CE or for a cost with CE. The ethics requirement can also be fulfilled by completing the C2EX Program (please note if you choose the C2EX Program, they do require you to have an NAR designation or certification to achieve 100% completion).
