Course Description:

This course will teach students about the various ways of building wealth using investment real estate. Instruction will include information about the various team members involved in the acquisition and management of investment properties, including property managers, Realtors, lenders and attorneys. Participants will learn about the various ways to fund and protect their real estate investments through the use of various lending options and legal structures. Analyzing rates of return and cap rates will also be covered.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

• Understand the ways that real estate investments earn money, build wealth and how to get started
• Understand the importance of an experienced team of professionals to assist and employ during the process
• Understand how and why to use a structure like an LLC
• Analyze income producing properties to determine its cash on cash return on investment, potential tax advantages and benefits to an existing investment portfolio
• Understand several terms associated with income properties
